Do your products contain essential oils?
We use a small amount of essential oils in our products for the specific benefits each bestows to the skin and as part of our natural fragrance formulas. We take great care in choosing each of our ingredients, both for safety and quality.
What are pure essential oils and absolutes?
We use pure essential oils and absolutes in Bushnut products for their intrinsic benefits to the skin and as natural scent ingredients. These are concentrated substances carefully extracted from natural plant material.
Are your products safe while pregnant or nursing?
Yes, our products are safe for pregnant and nursing mothers. Always consult your physician.
Are your products free from synthetic and harmful ingredients?
Our formulas are free from synthetic fragrance, chemical dyes, additives, parabens, and harmful preservatives.
Are your products paraben and sulfate-free?
Yes, Bushnut products are free from parabens and all synthetic preservatives. Our products are also free from synthetic sulfates, like SLS and SLES.
Are your ingredients/products vegan?
Yes, all of our ingredients are vegan. We never use ingredients that are animal-derived in our formulations.
Are your ingredients/products cruelty-free?
Yes, all of our ingredients and finished products are cruelty-free and free from animal testing. This means that at no point in the growing, harvesting, processing, or creation of the product formula were animals ever used for testing and that no animal-derived ingredients are used in Bushnut products.
Are your products allergen free?
Our products are gluten-free and soy-free. Pure Reveal AHA Oil Cleansing Gel and Luxe Restore Illuminating Face Balm both contain nut oils and should be used with caution in those with nut allergies or sensitivities.
Are your products 100% Handcrafted in the USA?
Yes! Our blends are wild-crafted by a decades-old, woman-owned vegan apothecary located in Maryland.
Are your products eco-friendly?
Yes! We set the bar high for ourselves with our ingredient selection and formula design by choosing hand-harvested, fair trade, and ethically sourced ingredients from independent women cooperatives in indigenous communities and local farms. When you purchase Bushnut products, you are investing in healthy ecosystems, sustainable biodiversity, and indigenous communities around the globe, as well as the wellness of your skin and planet.
Are samples or travel sizes available?
Yes, all orders will come with samples. Otherwise, we provide samples upon request.

Do your products require refrigeration?
While it’s always best to store skincare in a dry, cool environment away from direct light, it’s not necessary to refrigerate our products. But, if practicable, we recommend keeping the products in a beauty fridge or regular fridge to keep the active and raw ingredients at their freshest.
What variations can I expect to see with Bushnut products vs. conventional skincare?
Because Bushnut Beauty products are made completely with natural ingredients and are synthetic preservative-free, you may notice changes to the products that aren’t typical of conventional skincare. But this does not affect the efficacy of the products.
For example, Luxe Restore Illuminating Face Balm is made up of 100% plant butters and oils and may turn more liquid at warmer temperatures. If this occurs, simply place the face butter in the fridge for about 10-20 minutes to allow the consistency to return to its balmy shape and texture.
When Pure Reveal AHA Oil Cleansing Gel is first crafted it is very pink in color. This color will fade slightly over time due to the acidity of the AHA in the product. Again, this does not affect the product’s efficacy.
Please keep in mind that because our skincare is made of natural plant material, product textures and colors may not be the same with every purchase. Crops change and this may cause variations but does not mean that the formula has changed, as the product will perform exactly the same.
The fact that not every Bushnut product is an assembly-line carbon copy is due to the uniqueness of our natural botanicals. Our formulas stay the same, but the ingredients are from nature, so change with nature.
When will I see results?
The true beauty of the Bushnut Beauty Ritual is that you’ll see visible results with the first use and lasting results within 2-4 weeks of continued use.

How can I create a Bespoke Beauty Ritual?
For morning: Work 1-2 pumps of Pure Reveal AHA Oil Cleansing Gel into a foam between fingers with warm water. Work onto face, neck, and decollete, massaging in circular motions to refresh and wake up the skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Warm a pea-sized amount of Luxe Restore Illuminating Face Balm in hands and, using fingertips, press onto lightly dampened or spritzed face, neck, and decollete for a feeling of light moisture. Warm 2-4 drops of Glow Renew Face Oil between pads of fingers and press onto slightly dampened face, neck, and decollete after applying Face Balm to lock in moisture.
For night: Work 1-2 pumps of Pure Reveal into a foam between fingers with warm water. Work onto face, neck, and decollete, massaging in circular motions to cleanse away makeup, dirt, and impurities. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Warm a pea-sized amount of Luxe Restore in hands and, using fingertips, press a thicker layer onto dry skin for rich moisture. Warm 2-4 drops of Glow Renew Face Oil between pads of fingers and press onto skin after applying Face Balm to lock in moisture.

What if I have dry skin?
Our products are formulated for all skin types, including dry skin. Our exclusive antioxidant superfood oil blends provide rich moisture and visibly brightens dull skin.

Where do you ship your products?
Currently, we ship anywhere in the continental United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
What are my options for shipping?
We offer standard shipping (3-5 business days) on all orders within the continental U.S. Please note, if you wish to have your order shipped to Alaska or Hawaii, it will require approximately 5-10 additional business days for delivery.
What if my package gets lost in transit?
Please be aware of the "out for delivery" email you will receive and be mindful of when your carrier arrives.
How do I check the status of my order?
Upon shipment of your package, you will receive an email containing your package shipment information and a link to track the package.
What is your return and refund policy?
You have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return. To start a return, you can contact us at info@bushnutbeauty.com. We’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Refunds for the item's cost will reappear in your bank account within 5-10 business days of processing. Original and return shipping costs are not included in the refund amount.
