Still, these women are subject to gender, ethnic, class, and socioeconomic discrimination.
At Bushnut, we intentionally align ourselves with the social causes that advocate for the support and inclusion of indigenous women in their efforts to adapt to climate change so that they, too, can be a part of the socioeconomic decision-making with regard to these issues that directly impact them.

What Our Packaging Says About Us
Our custom formulations not only deserve a pretty package, the containers we use must also protect the lovingly-crafted ingredients we are honored to utilize, as well as do no harm to the environment we share with you and the women who made our creations possible.
Our amber glass bottles preserve the potency of our pure botanical oils and butters by protecting against oxidation due to light exposure, which breaks down and negates the therapeutic value of these ingredients over time. This is why our formulations can stay fresh for over one year after opening. The frosted look of the glass is created using non-chemical sandblasting, which is eco-friendly and recyclable.
Our plastic caps are made from polypropylene (PP), a recyclable material considered safe for reuse.
Our mailer boxes are E-type corrugated paper and 350G art paper, both of which are made with eco-friendly and recyclable material.
Our custom tissue paper is printed with soy-based inks and recycled, biodegradable materials so that it’s 100% compostable, both at home and commercially, without generating waste or toxins. The tissue is acid-free, sulphur-free, and lignin-free paper certified by the Forest Steward Councilship (FSC).
